Pursuing Friendship

  TO THE YOUTH :

5 Rules

  1. Know your Ultimate Priority. “Remember your Creator in the days of your youth” (Ecclesiastes 12:1) God tells us to learn to say “no” not only to ungodliness but even to many profitable, good, wonderful things that could clog your mighty purpose.
  2. They aren’t just your friends. He/She isn’t just your friend; he/she is your brother/sister in Christ.
  3. Create a balance, avoid the extremes. (Ecclesiastes 7:18) God says let us neither be for the legalistic nor for the too clingy.
  4. Be busy doing God’s will. This could get you away from swerving from the Lord’s righteous path.
  5. Decide to pursue friendship. Make friends without thinking that you’re going to marry that person someday, but keeping purity and holiness for serving and pleasing God, and preserving yourself for God’s Best.

This is a pattern of pursuing genuine friendliness that manifests our nourished soul by the Best Friend, whom you spend time with, whom you love, and whom you invest Forever Friendship with, the One who laid down His Life for you and did everything first.

I am certainly NOT trying to impose these rules, because if I did I would be granting an access for the legalistic spirit which would not help us in seeking God. But my prayer is for God to reveal these things to you just as how He mightily revealed it to me.

                                                                  In Christ’s Love, charchar…

This was made tangible for me through my Christian leaders/friends who influence me most namely Pastor Nixon & Eva Ng, Rochelle Mendoza, Aina Gadate, and Daniel Trinidad.

…The BEST thing to do!

Surely every Filipino knows what’s happening in their Lupang Hinirang. Of course there’s only one prominent issue right now above all. The issue of issues. The President’s.

Armies march in the President’s face stating their opinions. Rallies in every corner try to engage politically. Voices groan with all hatred and apathy. Pride and disgust roam 24/7.

Let me tell you something, while you join the troops like tranquilized sheeps and shout step down, why don’t you step down? Why point your fingers and curse? Why invest in great tumult not peace?

We are spiritual beings. Now, step down from the tormenting stages of commotion. In the likeness of a healthy sheep’s meekness, be directed by the Shepherd. In the midst of disorder, bow down to prayer. I quote from “Spiritual Leadership”, Oswald Sanders: “Prayer moves the arm that moves the world.”

…There is hope for the Philippines. My hope is fresh and certainly won’t be cut off. For my hope and trust is in HIM, who orchestrates everything for the goodness of those who love Him. I walk by faith and not by what I see. There is cure and revival for an unorganized nation. God is ready to trample down the real enemy and grant us victory.

Choose to step down and be prayerful.

<Charchar>  To my friend Abie, thank you for the updates. God bless!

Times of Worship

Saturday, July 2nd, 2005

I’m hungry for God, for true worship.

I long to stand on the second row

like how I used to, but now

It’s hard to compensate, yet God knows my heart.

I sit infront of a computer table,

my weapons jumpstart

Where it isn’t likely to worship,

I do

I weep, I cry

I call out for Him

His Grace, and I always meet

Him face to face

I feel God’s Presence, the Spirit leads

me to things, powerful and revealing

One day I’ll be back again on that

second row

to sing praises of Rock

But i’ll always remember the hours

spent on that place that God blessed

in my sanctuary

on that computer table

Where He stirred me up in Spirit and

in Truth

Where worship form tears,

where tears form worship.
